Dr. Jessa has always wanted to work in a profession where she could help others, and she discovered early on that she is very good at it. She describes her approach to helping others as “passionate and compassionate.” She believes that good medicine asks the question, “what is this symptom trying to tell us?” Dr. Jessa always looks at her patients as a whole, both body and mind, and gets to the root cause of disease. Jessa’s therapies include the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatments, such as clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture, intravenous therapy, and hydrotherapy.
Dr. Jessa received and completed her training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. Dr. Jessa believes that a fully integrated medical system is the future of health care in Canada, and she is committed to working closely with other specialties to ensure patients are fully taken care of. Dr. Jessa has treated numerous men’s and women’s health issues, migraines, insomnia, autoimmune conditions, thyroid disorders, digestive disturbances, musculoskeletal aches and pains, diabetes, hypertension, mental illness and weight loss.
Dr. Jessa is an avid writer and fancies herself a bit of a research junkie. She has been published in the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine, Vital Link, Integrated Health Care Practitioners, Alive Magazine, and at Naturopathic Currents. Click here to read her publications. In her personal time, Jessa loves to cook, garden, camp, and hike. She knows how challenging work-family balance is, and tries very hard to achieve this in her own life.
