Have you heard of Traditional Chinese Microneedling? Or 7-Star Plum Blossom Needling? This century-old Chinese treatment is used for facial rejuvenation. Small tiny needles penetrate the skin quickly at a 90 degree angle to aerate the skin, break down fibrous tissue, and stimulate collagen production. The body recognizes that there's been an "injury" and starts to recruit more red blood cells, fibrin, collagen and growth factors to heal that area. As a result, fine lines start to diminish, pores start to close up, and acne scars start to fill in.
The treatment itself takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete but it is followed by a relaxing facial massage and scrub. A gold collagen mask is placed on the face for 15 to 20 minutes to cool the skin and finish off the treatment. Your skin will look slightly red as you leave the clinic but redness diminishes within a few hours. The pain level for Traditional Chinese Microneedling is about a 1 to 2 out of 10; with 10 being very high for pain.
It's recommended to have this treatment once a week for four weeks in tandem. Afterwards, a long term maintenance plan can be developed to suit your anti-aging facial needs. Check out more information and pictures here!
